TROYER JOINS THE HTI GROUP

Vipiteno, February 24th, 2023

With a capital increase signed today, the South Tyrolean HTI Group, one of the world’s leading winter technology companies, but also a major player in urban transport, tracked vehicles, vegetation management and wind power plants, has become the majority shareholder of the Vipiteno-based company Troyer.

“Becoming part of the HTI Group is an important milestone for our company, providing continuity to our business, respecting our corporate philosophy, finding new strength in the possible synergies that will arise, and undoubtedly benefiting from the fruitful exchange of experience, knowledge and opportunities within the group,” says Stefan Troyer, managing director of the company.

Twenty years after the installation of the first prototype wind turbine in Malles in the Vinschgau, which represented the de facto entry into the world of renewable energies, HTI’s strategic choice has now been made. In addition to the synergy effects that arise from both a logistical and technological point of view, the entry of the HTI group is also explained by the clear desire to follow up on a more than ten-year entrepreneurial history.

“Troyer is a company that has been able to conquer an important role in the hydropower market with its technology,” comments HTI president Anton Seeber, “a sector that fits in well with the activities that we have been pursuing for some time now on the renewable energy front, as a manufacturer of wind turbines as well as on the side of the production of renewable energy itself through wind and photovoltaics. Sustainability is a core value of our group. Troyer is one of the historical companies in Vipiteno and we believe that we can give an important contribution so that it can look to the future with optimism.

The High Technology Industries (HTI) Group is a global player in ropeways (Leitner and Poma and Bartholet), snow groomers and tracked vehicles (Prinoth and Jarraff), snowmaking (Demaclenko) and wind energy (Leitwind). The HTI Group invests considerable resources in innovation, between 2020 and 2021 more than 50 million have been earmarked for research and development activities. There are more than 4,300 HTI Group employees operating worldwide.
