San Leonardo in Passiria (BZ), Italy
A hydroelectric power plant produced by merging two existing plants, which today produces 22 million kWh of electricity annually and ensures significant added value. Troyer AG supplied the electrical equipment for the power plant, including the control systems, switchgear and building installation. The catchments of the Valtina and Viastrata streams were remediated, with an automatic pipe break valve and a vent pipe installed behind the pressure retention chamber. A special feature of the plant is its underground positioning, with only the access ramp visible. Just eleven months separated the award of the concession and the actual commissioning.
