Prati (BZ), Italy
The Rio di Vizze hydroelectric power plant at Prati was built in the immediate vicinity of our company headquarters in Vipiteno. One novelty was the in-line flow measurement required by the circumstances. It is also interesting that the pressure surge is kept within limits: the Francis turbines and the turbine control system are not dependent on a surge chamber, which is quite rare in power plants of this size.
